Hugh de Lusignan was born in 1220 in of Lusignan, Vienne, France.  Hugh de Lusignan's father was Hugh de la Marche X le Brun Ct de la Marche and his mother was Isabella Taillefer de AngoulIme.  His paternal grandparents were Hugh de Lusignan IX Ct de la Marche and Mathilde Taillefer de AngoulIme; his maternal grandparents were Aymer Taillefer de Valence Ct de AngoulIme and Alice de Courtenay. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Guy de Lusignan, Geoffrey le Brun, Sir William de Valence, Aymer Ademar de Valence, Henri de la Marche, Alice, Isabella, Marguerite, Agnes and Isabella. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Henry III Plantagenet, Richard of Cornwall, Joan, Isabella and Eleanor.  He died in Egypt.
