Joan was born on July 22nd, 1210 in Gloucester, England.  Joan's father was John Lackland Plantagenet King of England and her mother was Isabella Taillefer de AngoulIme.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry II Plantagenet de Anjou King of England and Eleanor de Aquitaine Dss de Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Aymer Taillefer de Valence Ct de AngoulIme and Alice de Courtenay. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry III Plantagenet, Richard of Cornwall, Isabella and Eleanor. She had fifteen half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Oliver, Richard FitzJohn of Dover, Richard, Geoffrey, Sir John FitzJohn, Odo (Eudo), Ivo, Henry, Osbert, Hugh de Lusignan, Guy de Lusignan, Geoffrey le Brun, Sir William de Valence, Aymer Ademar de Valence, Henri de la Marche, Isabella, Joanna, Matilda, Alice, Isabella, Marguerite, Agnes and Isabella.  She died in near London, England.
