Richard Sparks 
Richard was born about 1793 in Franklin Co, Ga. Richard's father was William C Sparks and his mother was Mary Polly Fielder. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Sparks and Sara Thompson; his maternal grandparents were William L. Fielder and Elizabeth Hall. He had four brothers and two sisters, named John, James H, Levi Nathan, Eli, Sarah and Eady. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died in October 1838 in Dawson, Tx. He was buried in Old North Church, Nacogdoches, Tx.General Notes
