Sarah Jane Combest 
Sarah Jane was born on September 1st, 1837 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.1 Sarah Jane's father was Wiley Combest and her mother was Sarah Hammond. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel D. Combest and Sarah Dick; her maternal grandparents were John Hammond and Margaret Peggy Wilson. She had two brothers named John Wiley and Samuel Josiah. She was the oldest of the three children. She had eight half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas Riley, James William, Lewis L., Infant Son, William, Infant Son, Barton, George, Gilla Ann, Patsy M., Eliza M. and Mary C.. She died at the age of 49 on September 30th, 1886 in Pike County, Indiana.1 -
