Eliza M. Combest 
Eliza M. was born in June 1855 in Russell County, Kentucky.1 Eliza M.'s father was Wiley Combest and her mother was Martha Hammond. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel D. Combest and Sarah Dick; her maternal grandparents were John Hammond and Margaret Peggy Wilson. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Riley, James William, Lewis L., Infant Son, William, Infant Son, Gilla Ann, Patsy M. and Mary C.. She was the third youngest of the ten children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named John Wiley, Samuel Josiah, Barton, George and Sarah Jane.1 -
