Samuel Josiah Combest 
Samuel Josiah was born in 1840 in Kentucky.1 Samuel Josiah's father was Wiley Combest and his mother was Sarah Hammond. His paternal grandparents were Samuel D. Combest and Sarah Dick; his maternal grandparents were John Hammond and Margaret Peggy Wilson. He had a brother and a sister, named John Wiley and Sarah Jane. He was the youngest of the three children. He had eight half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas Riley, James William, Lewis L., Infant Son, William, Infant Son, Barton, George, Gilla Ann, Patsy M., Eliza M. and Mary C.. He died at the age of 29 in 1869.1 -
