Patsy M. was born about 1848 in Kentucky.1 Patsy M.'s father was Wiley Combest and her mother was Martha Hammond. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel D. Combest and Sarah Dick; her maternal grandparents were John Hammond and Margaret Peggy Wilson. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Riley, James William, Lewis L., Infant Son, William, Infant Son, Gilla Ann, Eliza M. and Mary C.. She was the third oldest of the ten children. She had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named John Wiley, Samuel Josiah, Barton, George and Sarah Jane.1 -
