Blanca de Castile 
Blanca was born on May 23rd, 1188 in Chateaux de Pale, Valencia, Castile.1 Blanca's father was Alfonso VIII de Castile King of Castile and her mother was Eleanor Plantagenet. Her paternal grandparents were Sancho III de Castile King of Castile and Blanca de Navarre; her maternal grandparents were Henry II Curtmantle King of England and Eleanor de Aquitaine Dss of Aquitaine. She had a sister named Berengaria Alfonsez. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 65 on November 30th, 1253 in Palais du Louvre, Paris, France.1 General Notes
