Urraca was born in 1081 in of Burgos, Spain.1 Urraca's father was Alphonso VI Fernandez Emp of Spain and her mother was Constance Capet. Her paternal grandparents were Ferdinand I Sanchez the Great King of León and Sancha Alfonsa de León; her maternal grandparents were Robert I 'le Vieux' Capet Duke of Burgundy and Helie de Semur-en-Brionnais. She had a half-sister named Teresa de Castile. She died in Saldana. She was buried in Leon.1 1 General Notes
