Levi was born on September 10th, 1815 in Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.1   Levi's father was Abram Boland and his mother was Eva Christina Sease.  His paternal grandparents were John (Johannes) Boland and Feltman; his maternal grandparents were John Mark Suss\Seas\Sease and Nancy Shirer. He had nine brothers and a sister, named William, Fredrick, Joseph, John Adam, John Mark, Ephriam Walter, Middleton, Ozro, Cedelle Edward and Catherine "Katie".  He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named John Adam.  He died at the age of 50 on July 28th, 1866 in Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.  He was buried in St. Peters Pineywoods, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 1
