Joseph Boland 
Joseph was born on March 29th, 1811 in Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Joseph's father was Abram Boland and his mother was Eva Christina Sease. His paternal grandparents were John (Johannes) Boland and Feltman; his maternal grandparents were John Mark Suss\Seas\Sease and Nancy Shirer. He had nine brothers and a sister, named William, Fredrick, John Adam, Levi, John Mark, Ephriam Walter, Middleton, Ozro, Cedelle Edward and Catherine "Katie". He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother named John Adam. He died at the age of 86 on October 27th, 1897 in Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.
