Catherine "Katie" Boland 
Catherine "Katie" was born on December 14th, 1817 in Near Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Catherine "Katie"'s father was Abram Boland and her mother was Eva Christina Sease. Her paternal grandparents were John (Johannes) Boland and Feltman; her maternal grandparents were John Mark Suss\Seas\Sease and Nancy Shirer. She had ten brothers named William, Fredrick, Joseph, John Adam, Levi, John Mark, Ephriam Walter, Middleton, Ozro and Cedelle Edward. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother named John Adam. She died at the age of 71 on February 20th, 1889 in Near Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina. She was buried on February 22nd, 1889 in Shealy Family Cemetery near Little Mountain, SC.1 1 General Notes
