Mattie Lillian Harris

Mattie Lillian was born on March 23rd, 1873 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., Virginia.  Mattie Lillian's father was George Washington Harris and her mother was Amazela Frances Sims.  Her maternal grandparents were Pettus Wayles Sims and Sally Thompson Kearsey. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named Solomon King, George William, James Berkley, Chastaine Pettus, Ida Irene, Sarah Jane, Arminta Elizabeth, Ann Rose, Cora Elizabeth, Florence Amazella, Laura Mae and Mary Inez.  She was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 91 on February 2nd, 1965.
