Cora Elizabeth Harris

Cora Elizabeth was born on June 1st, 1876 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., Virginia.  Cora Elizabeth's father was George Washington Harris and her mother was Amazela Frances Sims.  Her maternal grandparents were Pettus Wayles Sims and Sally Thompson Kearsey. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named Solomon King, George William, James Berkley, Chastaine Pettus, Ida Irene, Sarah Jane, Arminta Elizabeth, Ann Rose, Mattie Lillian, Florence Amazella, Laura Mae and Mary Inez.  She was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 93 on October 8th, 1969.
