Florence Amazella Harris

Florence Amazella was born on February 17th, 1884 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., Virginia.  Florence Amazella's father was George Washington Harris and her mother was Amazela Frances Sims.  Her maternal grandparents were Pettus Wayles Sims and Sally Thompson Kearsey. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named Solomon King, George William, James Berkley, Chastaine Pettus, Ida Irene, Sarah Jane, Arminta Elizabeth, Ann Rose, Mattie Lillian, Cora Elizabeth, Laura Mae and Mary Inez.  She was the third youngest of the thirteen children.  She died at the age of 78 on March 23rd, 1962.
