Mary Inez Harris 
Mary Inez was born on May 29th, 1887 in Beaverdam, Hanover Co., Virginia. Mary Inez's father was George Washington Harris and her mother was Amazela Frances Sims. Her maternal grandparents were Pettus Wayles Sims and Sally Thompson Kearsey. She had four brothers and eight sisters, named Solomon King, George William, James Berkley, Chastaine Pettus, Ida Irene, Sarah Jane, Arminta Elizabeth, Ann Rose, Mattie Lillian, Cora Elizabeth, Florence Amazella and Laura Mae. She was the youngest of the thirteen children.
