Lilian Mottley

Lilian was born on July 4th, 1901 in 6 Dockfield, Windhill, Shipley, W. Yorkshire.¹ Lilian's father was William Thomas Motley and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Ickeringill. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Motley and Maria Elizabeth Smith; her maternal grandparents were John Ickeringill and Martha Smith. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John George, William, George, Herbert, Leslie, Arthur, Wilhelmina (Mayna), Martha and Edith Eleanor. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Charles, John and Emily. She died about May 1902.
