Edith Eleanor Motley

Edith Eleanor was born in June 1908 in 4 King Street, Eccleshill, Bradford, W. Yorkshire.¹ Edith Eleanor's father was William Thomas Motley and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Ickeringill. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Motley and Maria Elizabeth Smith; her maternal grandparents were John Ickeringill and Martha Smith. She had six brothers and three sisters, named John George, William, George, Herbert, Leslie, Arthur, Wilhelmina (Mayna), Lilian and Martha. She was the eighth oldest of the ten children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Charles, John and Emily. She died due to TB about 1926.¹
