Maud Hannah Wootley

Maud was born in June 1895 in Walthamstow, Essex.¹ Maud's father was James Wootley and her mother was Alice Benstead. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Wootley and Eliza Roft; her maternal grandparents were James Benstead and Ann Wisbeach. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Percival, Edwin, Sydney, Herbert, Florence, Lily and Winifred. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
