James Wootley

James was born in 1863 in Codicote, Hertfordshire and his christening took place there on April 5th, 1863.¹² James' father was Thomas Wootley and his mother was Eliza Roft. His paternal grandparents were William Wootley and Eliza Page; his maternal grandparents were William Roft and Sarah. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Henry, Samuel, Elizabeth, Florence, Louisa and Mary. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 75 in June 1938 in Essex.³
