Violet Horncastle

Violet was born on January 16th, 1902 in Stepney, Middlesex.¹ Violet's father was Thomas Horncastle and her mother was Mary Ann Clipson. Her paternal grandparents were James Raphael Horncastle and Maria Thompson. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, George, Mary, Eleanor, Hannah, Catherine, Annie and Beatrice. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
