Eleanor Katherine Horncastle

Eleanor was born on December 31st, 1899 in Stepney, Middlesex and her christening took place on December 31st, 1899 in St Philip the Apostle, Stepney.¹² Eleanor's father was Thomas Horncastle and her mother was Mary Ann Clipson. Her paternal grandparents were James Raphael Horncastle and Maria Thompson. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, George, Mary, Violet, Hannah, Catherine, Annie and Beatrice. She was the third oldest of the nine children.
