James Kerr Towers 
James was born on January 2nd, 1890 in New York City.1 2 James' father was Walter Colquhoun Towers and his mother was Jane (Jean, Jeanie) Kerr. His paternal grandparents were William Tours and Margaret Colquhoun; his maternal grandparents were Archibald Kerr and Isabella (Bella) Purdon. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Walter, William, Archibald, John, Alexander, Elmer, Isabella and Margaret. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 87 on November 17th, 1977 in York county. The funeral took place on November 21st, 1977 in York county. He was buried in York county.3 4 5
