Jane, known as Jean, Jeanie, was born in 1852 in Paisley.¹²

  But 12 1/2 in Dec. 1867, suggesting born around June 1856

Jean, Jeanie's father was Archibald Kerr and her mother was Isabella (Bella) Purdon. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh Kerr and Margaret Anderson. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Alexander, James, Archie, John, Margaret and Barbara. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 71 in 1923 in California.³
