William Robertson

William was born in 1836 in Prestwick.¹²

William's father was James Robertson and his mother was Ann McMurran. His paternal grandparents were William Robertson and Elspeth Thomson; his maternal grandparents were Jonathon McMurren and Susan McAllan. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, David, James, George, Jonathan, Mary and Annie. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had two half-sisters named Susan and Catharine. He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, "Pulmonary consumption, duration years; pneumonia, 8 days. Suicide", at the age of 32 on November 18th, 1868 in New Prestwick.³
