James Robertson

James' father was William Robertson and his mother was Elspeth Thomson. His paternal grandparents were George Robertson and Mary Cochran; his maternal grandparents were Robert Thomson and Janet Shipherd. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, George, William and Janet. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died due to heart disease, cardiac disease, at the age of 60 on January 21st, 1872 in New Prestwick.¹

  but ages given in 1841,51,61 and 71 censuses are all mutually inconsistent.
