Thomas John Robertson 
Thomas was born on March 14th, 1797 in Dunfermline and his baptism took place there.1 2 Thomas' father was William Robertson and his mother was Elspeth Thomson. His paternal grandparents were George Robertson and Mary Cochran; his maternal grandparents were Robert Thomson and Janet Shipherd. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, George, James, William, Mary, Agnes and Janet. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died from a heart attack, (supposed) heart affection, died suddenly, at the age of 73 on September 24th, 1870 in Glasgow.3 - General Notes

From 1841 Thomas' occupation was iron moulder in manufacturing. He died in 1870 while still employed there.4
