George Robertson

George was born in February 1851 in Prestwick.¹²

George's father was James Robertson and his mother was Ann McMurran. His paternal grandparents were William Robertson and Elspeth Thomson; his maternal grandparents were Jonathon McMurren and Susan McAllan. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, John, David, James, Jonathan, Mary and Annie. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He had two half-sisters named Susan and Catharine. He died from cancer, malignant disease mediastinal, at the age of 73 on September 9th, 1924 in Port off Menteith.³
