Robert II Stewart of was born in Dundonald, Kyle, Ayreshire, Scotland.  Robert II Stewart of's father was Walter Stewart and his mother was Marjorie Bruce.  His paternal grandfather was James Stewart and his paternal grandmother is Egidia de Burgh; his maternal grandparents were Robert I Bruce of Scotland and Isobel of Mar. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Egidia (Jill).  He died on April 19th, 1390 in Dundonald Castle, Ayrshire, Strathclyde, Scotland.  He was buried in Scone Abbey, Perthshire, Scotland.
