Helen Jeanette was born on March 30th, 1923 in Bjorlie Farm, Bergen Township, Nelson County, North Dakota. Helen Jeanette's father was Olaf Alfred Bjorlie and her mother was Louise Mathilda Enstad. Her paternal grandparents were Sever Henry Bjorlie and Karen Oien Johnson; her maternal grandparents were Ole Johannes Enstad and Mari Olsdatter Enstad. She has two brothers named Orel Stanley and Kermit Manfred. She is the youngest of the three children.General Notes

"Mrs. Louise Bjorlie of Pekin, N. D., announces the engagement of her
daughter, Helken Jeanette, to Lewis W. Sutton, son of William Sutton of
Hunter, N. D. Miss Bjorlie is a graduate of NDAC where she was
affiliated with Phi Upsilon Omicron honorary sorority. For the last two
years, she has been an instructor in the Hunter high school. The
marriage will be Sept. 20, in the Sheyenne Lutheran church at Pekin."

BJORLIE-SUTTON VOWS EXCHANGED SEPT. 20-The Sheyenne Lutheran church was
the scene of a candlelight ceremony Saturday evening, Sept. 20th, when
Miss Helen Bjorlie, daughter of Mrs. Louise Bjorlie of Pekin, became the
bride of Lewis W. Sutton, son of William F. Sutton of Hunter, N. D. Rev.
T. E. Spande performed the double ring ceremony at 8 o'clock in a setting
of autumn flowers. Miss Yvonne Bergstrom of Minneapolis, Minn., played
the prenuptial music and the traditional wedding marches. She also
accompanied Mrs. Gilbert Rondestvedt of Fargo, who sang "Because," "At
Dawing" and "The Lord's Prayer." The bride given in marriage by her
brother, Orel Bjorlie, entered to the strains of the "Bridal Chorus" from
Lohengrin. The bride wore a gown of white satin fashioned with fitted
bodice, high neckline, long sleeves with Mary Stuart points and full
skirt cut entrain. Her long veil of white illusion net fell from a
beaded crown which her mother had worn for her wedding. She carried a
bouquet of red roses and white Stephonotis. Her only jewelry was a
strand of pearls, a gift from the groom. Miss Louise Haugsjaa acted as
the maid of honor and was gowned in aqua faille with fitted bodice, low
neckline, full gored skirt, short sleeves and long gloves. She wore
matching aqua net veil as a head-dress and carried a colonial bouquet of
white mums with yellow mum centers. Misses Dorothy Engesather and Joyce
Dickson, college friends of the bride, acted as bridesmaids. Their gowns
were of yellow fraille fashioned in style identically like the maid of
honor. Their headdresses were matching yellow net and they carried
colonial bouquets of white mumbs with aqua mum centers. The flower girl,
Janice Enstad, cousin of the bride, wore a gown of aqua faille and
carried a basket of sweet peas. David Foreng, cousin of the bride was
ring bearer, wearing a white suit and carrying the rings on a white satin
heart shaped pillow. Chris Jensen acted as best man, while Kermit
Bjorlie, brother of the bride, and John Jorgenson were the ushers. The
bride's mother was attired in black with harmonizing accessories and wore
a corsage of red roses. Following the ceremony a reception was held in
the church parlors for approiximately 180 relatives and friends. The
church parlors were decorated in pink and white. The bridal table was
graced with lighted tapers and a three tierred wedding cake. Mrs. Fred
E. Fredrickson, aunt of the bride, cut the wedding cake. Mrs. Clifford
Foreng and Mrs. Chris Jenson had charge of the gifts. Phyllis Anderson,
cousin of the bride, had charge of the guest book. Mrs. Al Solwick and
Mrs. Morris Aaser poured. Assisting with the serving were Marvis Enstad,
Luella Quam, Joan Hovel, Loraine Gronaas, Doris Enstad and Luene
Bergsrude. The bride is a graduate of Pekin high school and a graduate
in home economics from NDAC where she was affiliated with Phi Upsilon
Omicron. For the past two years she has taught in the Hunter high
school. The groom is a graduate of Hunter high school and was employed
by Dakota Tractor and Equipment Co. of Fargo before entering the
service. He saw action in the European theatres of war serving over four
years in the U. S. Army. After visiting points in Illinois and
Minnesota, the newlyweds will make their home on a farm near Hun
