James William Stagner 
James William was born on March 3rd, 1850 in Crawford County,Missouri,USA. James William's father was George Hendricks Stagner and his mother was Roseanna Shults. His paternal grandparents were John Stagner and Anna Hendricks; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Shults and Mary Polly Young. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Andrew, Marion Columbus, Madison Lafayette, George Edward, John Stephen, America Ellen, Mary Polly Rosean and Rachel Amberzine. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 79 on January 27th, 1930 in Salem,Dent County,Missouri,USA. BIOGRAPHY: May have worked for the first railroad through MO, then possibly in a mine. After he married, he bought land froma homesteader a built a farm in Darien, Dent Co, MO, where the family raised orgrew all their commodities. Sold the farm between 1925 & 1930 and moved to Salem. He died while trying to make his way back home with a high fever from pneumonia.
BIOGRAPHY: Spent his life in Missouri, Illinois and Iowa - was a steel shearer.
