Madison Lafayette was born on July 18th, 1858 in Missouri. Madison Lafayette's father was George Hendricks Stagner and his mother was Roseanna Shults. His paternal grandparents were John Stagner and Anna Hendricks; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Shults and Mary Polly Young. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, James William, Joseph Andrew, Marion Columbus, George Edward, John Stephen, America Ellen, Mary Polly Rosean and Rachel Amberzine. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 82 on May 7th, 1941 in ? Missouri. He was buried in Dryfork Cemetery,Jack,Dent Co,Missouri.General Notes
