Joseph Luther Stagner 
Joseph Luther was born on December 14th, 1889 in Darien,Dent Co,Missouri. Joseph Luther's father was James William Stagner and his mother was Cornelia Catherine Medlock. His paternal grandparents were George Hendricks Stagner and Roseanna Shults; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel L Medlock and Lucy Caroline Medlock. He had nine brothers and three sisters, named Walter Adolph, William Esco, Columbus H, George Arch, Earl Rosemond, Nathaniel Arthur, Unknown, Hurchel Sylvester, Hughie Vernon, Ella Myrtle, Martha Ellen and Mary Apelena. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 84 on December 2nd, 1974 in Elwood,Will Co,Illinois.1 General Notes

BIOGRAPHY: Worked as a lathe operator for American Steel & Wire in Joliet, IL, and during WWI worked in Detroit, MI, making shells.
BIOGRAPHY: 1920 census Channahon, Will Co, IL - renting, working as a machinist for Aurora(?) Steel. Brother-in-law Louis Corbus was living withthem.
BIOGRAPHY: 1930 census Elwood Village, Will Co, IL - owned propery worth $8000, foreman in a malable(?) iron works.
