Hurchel Sylvester was born on May 22nd, 1900 in Darien,Dent Co,Missouri. Hurchel Sylvester's father was James William Stagner and his mother was Cornelia Catherine Medlock. His paternal grandparents were George Hendricks Stagner and Roseanna Shults; his maternal grandparents were Nathaniel L Medlock and Lucy Caroline Medlock. He had nine brothers and three sisters, named Walter Adolph, William Esco, Columbus H, Joseph Luther, George Arch, Earl Rosemond, Nathaniel Arthur, Unknown, Hughie Vernon, Ella Myrtle, Martha Ellen and Mary Apelena. He was the third youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 91 on October 1st, 1991 in St Petersburg,Pinellas Co,Florida. He was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery,St Petersburg,Florida.General Notes
