BIOGRAPHY: Was a schoolteacher at the time of her marriage. Stayed in Kentucky to finish the school term while Nathaniel and his children headed West to Missouri. When school was out, she and an uncle made the move to Dent Co.

‌Lucy Caroline and Nathaniel L were married in a religious ceremony on May 9th, 1848 in Hopkins Co,Kentucky. They had eight sons and four daughters, named Henry Bruce, James Randolph, David Thomas, Harvey Henderson, Silas Anderson, Dabner L, Andrew John Wiley, Nathaniel Jr, Martha I, Cornelia Catherine, Martha A and Missouri Jane.
