Louisiana was born on September 1st, 1850 in Tipton,IN. Louisiana's father was Jeremiah O. BASSETT and her mother was Martha Emily Young. Her paternal grandparents were Nymphas Bassett and Thankful Bruce; her maternal grandparents were James S. Young and Elizabeth Kinsley. She had six brothers and a sister, named Ephraim, Oliver J., Mortimer, John, Charles E, Whitlock and Mary Catherine. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 60 on March 31st, 1911 in Shelby,IN. She was buried in Brandywine Cemetery.-
