Mary Catherine was born on February 14th, 1856. Mary Catherine's father was Jeremiah O. BASSETT and her mother was Martha Emily Young. Her paternal grandparents were Nymphas Bassett and Thankful Bruce; her maternal grandparents were James S. Young and Elizabeth Kinsley. She had six brothers and a sister, named Ephraim, Oliver J., Mortimer, John, Charles E, Whitlock and Louisiana. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 67 on September 15th, 1923 in Shelbyville,Shelby,IN.-
