Katie was born about 1880. Katie's father was Charles E Riser and her mother was Mary Catherine Bassett. Her maternal grandparents were Jeremiah O. BASSETT and Martha Emily Young. She had two brothers and six sisters, named William H., Carl W, Laura T., Lillian J., Rosa, Hazel, Nellie Pearl and Grace. She was the oldest of the nine children.-
