Nehemia Ames

Nehemia was born on September 24th, 1792 in Washington Co,Pennsylvania.  Nehemia's father was Jabez Ames and his mother was Elizabeth Smith.  His paternal grandparents were William Ames (Eames) and Margaret UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather was Nemiah Smith. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Martin, Absalom, George, Dorsey Pentecost, William, John, Hannah, Anna and Sybil Sidney.  He was the second oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 92 on November 17th, 1884.

‌Nehemia and Frances were married in a religious ceremony on November 29th, 1814 in ? Washington Co,Pennsylvania.  They had seven sons and three daughters, named James, William, Leonard, John C, Theophilus, Nehemia Jr, Henry, Mary, Eliza and Hannah.
