George Ames

George was born about 1798 in ? Washington Co,Pennsylvania. George's father was Jabez Ames and his mother was Elizabeth Smith. His paternal grandparents were William Ames (Eames) and Margaret UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather was Nemiah Smith. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Nehemia, Martin, Absalom, Dorsey Pentecost, William, John, Hannah, Anna and Sybil Sidney. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.
