Anna Ames

Anna was born on September 5th, 1800 in Somerset,Washington Co,Pennsylvania.  Anna's father was Jabez Ames and her mother was Elizabeth Smith.  Her paternal grandparents were William Ames (Eames) and Margaret UNKNOWN; her maternal grandfather was Nemiah Smith. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Nehemia, Martin, Absalom, George, Dorsey Pentecost, William, John, Hannah and Sybil Sidney.  She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 75 on October 13th, 1875.

They had five sons and three daughters, named John, Dorsey, Thomas, Gifford, Archibald, Ellen, Margaret and Ann L.
