George E. Shields 
George E. was born on March 13th, 1871 in Monroe County, Indiana. George E.'s father was William Henry Harrison Shields and his mother was Mary Ellen Hudlin. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Shields and Sarah "Sally" Masterson. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named David Thomas, William Taylor, John Wesley, Joseph H., Mary Elizabeth, Martha Jane, Sarah Angelina, Lucy A., Julia C., Laura A. and Belle Marie. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at 5 months old on September 8th, 1871. He was buried in Polk Twp. Cemetery, Polk Twp., Monroe Co., Indiana.-
