Marriage to Jane Watson in 1791 is very possible, as children baptised at Ridgway Gates Wesleyan, which would tie in with sister Happy Lomax's children.

James (a Farmer) and Alice had a daughter Mary, aged 30 in 1851, and also Alice, 15.

In 1814, Ralph Orrell of Manchester married Mary Roebuck, and this Ralph died in 1837 at Stockport (born Turton Bottoms).  There is another Edgworth death record for Ralph Orrell in 1840 of correct age, but this could be Ralph son of Richard and Margaret.  DNA doesn't help. 1786 Mary Orrell 1785 Nelly Orrell 4 Jan 1816, Nellie (i.e. Ellen) may have married Oliver Heaton 1788 Betty Orrell ~1783 John Lomax John was an Attonrey Clerk when he married Margaret Blackley, and Book keeper of Great Bolton when Charles James was baptised.

Adam Lomax,  possible relative, was Attorney at Law, near Dunscar Bar, Turton (referenced in James Horrocks of Turton Will of 1836). ~1783 Margaret Blackley 1809 Mary Lomax Parents are possibly a bit old to have Jane born in 1809, so may be the daughter of the other John and Jane marriage at Prestwich in 1808. 1805 - 1864 John Lomax 58 58 In 1832, when son John was baptised (ind), John was a Warper at Bobbin Lane, Blackburn.

In 1851, John and Ann (44 & 42) were at 27 Eccles Street,  Blackburn with John (19), Ralph (16), Andrew (14), Eli (12), Ellen (9), Elizabeth (6) and Ann (1).

In 1852, son Ralph was baptised when an adult (18).  John Lomax is now a Manufacturer at Over Darwen. 1809 Ann Eccles 1839 - 1906 Eli Lomax 67 67 Fall River, MA Death certificate shows parents as born Ireland 1868 - 1907 James A Heffernan 39 39 1871 - 1904 Mary Ann Lomax 33 33 3rd cousiin, 2x removed, great grandmother of  jamesburkeconnell (12cM DNA match), but Lomax of Ireland, not Lancashire. 1839 - 1915 Mary McDonough 75 75 1832 John Lomax 1834 Ralph Lomax 1837 Andrew Lomax 13 Jun 1859, Andrew Lomax (22) son of John married Ann Dewhurst at St Mary Blackburn.
