Elizabeth was born in October 1910 in Birkenhead.¹

Birth Notes

Elizabeth's father was Edmund John Wood and her mother was Agnes Douglas Kinnear. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Wood and Sarah Ann Eddowes. She had two brothers and six sisters, named Edmund, William, Agnes, Sarah, Violet, Daisy, Martha and Elsie. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
