Daisy's father was Edmund John Wood and her mother was Agnes Douglas Kinnear. Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Wood and Sarah Eddowes. She had a brother and six sisters, named Edmund, Agnes, Sarah, Violet, Elizabeth, Martha and Elsie. She was the fifth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 79 in June 1992 in Birkenhead.¹
