Sarah was born in 1876 in Darwen.¹

Birth Notes

Sarah's father was Howarth Watson and her mother was Rachel Mather. Her maternal grandparents were John Mather and Jane Entwistle. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named William, Charles, James, John, Amos, Haworth, Henry, Howarth, Henry, Mary, Martha, Margaret and Bella. She was the fourth youngest of the fourteen children.
