Martha was born in 1869 in Little Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Martha's father was Howarth Watson and her mother was Rachel Mather. Her maternal grandparents were John Mather and Jane Entwistle. She had nine brothers and four sisters, named William, Charles, James, John, Amos, Haworth, Henry, Howarth, Henry, Mary, Margaret, Sarah and Bella. She was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children.
