Albert was born in 1899 in Halliwell.¹

Albert's father was George Morris and his mother was Mary Ann Lomax. His maternal grandparents were Levi Lomax and Margaret Booth. He had three brothers and four sisters, named George, George, Eric, Lillie, Margaret, Emily and Phyllis. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
