Walter Mather

Walter was born on January 24th, 1896 in Horwich.¹

Walter's father was Alfred Mather and his mother was Esther Ramwell Bleakley. His paternal grandparents were Miles Mather and Betsy Jane Tonge. He had three brothers and two sisters, named James, Thomas, Robert, Florence and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the six children.
