Elizabeth Mather

Elizabeth was born in March 1908 in Horwich.¹

Elizabeth's father was Alfred Mather and her mother was Esther Ramwell Bleakley. Her paternal grandparents were Miles Mather and Betsy Jane Tonge. She had four brothers and a sister, named James, Walter, Thomas, Robert and Florence. She was the second youngest of the six children.
